StormRider Heated Vest : This product is made of a new, breathable, lightweight, waterproof & windproof fabric called AirXtream. It is stretchy and is designed for unisex application.
Colour is black and the garment can be hand washed but should not be dry cleaned. The battery must always be removed before washing. Stormrider runs at 12V for compatibility with motorcycle power output.
EXO2 Fabroc® Heated panels are located at the upper & lower back, chest and front shoulders. Installation is by straightforward connection via the StormRider Controller Unit or directly to the
motorcycle battery. Sizes (chest):
Small 34-36 inches ; Medium 38-40 inches ; Large 42-44 inches ; XL 46-48 inches. Whichever size you choose does not alter the
price. StormRider Battery Pack:
Contained within this pack are a low voltage (14.8v) Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery, which can be recharged up to 500 full cycles. Li-Ion batteries do not experience the 'memory' concern whereby charging
effectiveness is reduced by partial charging over time. The cells which form this battery are contained within a stylish casing which has an on/off slide switch with LED status to indicate there is a
sufficient charge for operating the system. The battery will provide up to 3 hours of constant warmth from a single charge. Only the lower back (kidney area) Fabroc® panels are heated by the battery
pack, as this is intended primarily for use off the bike (without wind-chill considerations) and warmth will circulate around the torso with blood flow to 'cocoon' the user. There is also a low voltage
(16.8v) Li - Ion charger designed for mains use, complete with a UK 3-PIN power cord. Charging time is 3 hours and the red charging light will change to green when charging is complete. StormRider Controller Unit : Contained within this unit is the novel control box, with a modern, digital display, facilitating up to 9 'heat-notches' which can be selected easily and safely
by pressing the control button until the desired setting is reached. This controller unit is not mandatory as the Fabroc® polymeric heating material is self-regulating once it reaches approx. 55oC,
however there will be times when the heat level needs to be reduced and, without the controller unit, the only way to do this is to disconnect the vest cable. |
